Donsoco Ecosystems Group in Honduras affirmed its commitment with the Honduras Government Ministry of Economic Development for establishing and implementing their joint Economic Development Platform denominated “DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Develop-ment Platform”. Once in full execution, the DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Develop-ment Platform will operate in partnership with the Zones for Employment and Economic Development (known as ZEDE or ZEDEs or Zonas de Empleoy Desarrollo Económico in Spanish).
The ZEDEs will be managed like a model independent city. The ZEDEs free trade areas, of which the DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Development Platform will function from, are planned to be governed by technical secretaries elected by a committee, known as the Committee for the Adoption of Best Practices or Spanish acronym CAMP. The CAMP (Committee) will oversee the adoption of best business and economic stimulus practices of the ZEDEs. The CAMP members are appointed by the President of Honduras, in accordance with Honduras organic laws that regulate the ZEDEs. The business residents of the ZEDEs will be able to interact with each other on a free market basis, asserted Mr. Alejandro Hurtado, President of Donsoco Energy (NI) S.A. and its subsidiary office in Honduras.
“The DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Development Platform purpose is to provide Honduras sustainable economic development and generate jobs within an ecosystem business environment of the ZEDEs areas approved under concessionary rights to Donsoco Holdings, wherein Donsoco Ecosystem Group will be a principal financier, developer, producer and supplier of purified water, green energy, and organic food products” explained Mr. Hurtado.
Mr. Hurtado also stated that “both the Honduran Secretary of State for Economic Development, Mr. Arnoldo Castillo and himself, were very precise in their negotiations with respect to the economic development incentives provided by the ZEDEs (in continuation below) to DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Development Platform for having Donsoco Ecosystem Group introduce their purified water, green energy, and organic food projects, as well as fund and develop them in the ZEDE departmental regions of Majamar, Puerto Cortesor Palmerola, Comayagua, given the concessionary rights approval of the established and selected ZEDE regionto Donsoco Holdings as an independent ecosystems jurisdiction with its own laws, courts, and police etcetera”.
The independent ecosystems jurisdiction under Donsoco Holdings corporate investment structure primary goal is to combat poverty, exclusion, and discrimination by creating a transparent and accountable private independent jurisdiction which (1) protects its people and developing communities and (2) provides support for safe and active participation of Honduran citizens in policy making, including local and international corporations and entrepreneurs who relocate their operations to any of Donsoco Holdings CEDE ecosystems jurisdictions proving sustainable water, energy, and food security to everyone in a balanced ecological environment at very affordable prices, Mr. Hurtado explained.
DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Platform will partner with the ZEDEs departmental regions to implement the objectives provided below, that are conducive to fostering economic development in Honduras, by developing Donsoco Ecosystem Group water, energy, and food nexus projects in the permitted ZEDE regions under concessionary rights to Donsoco Holdings:
- International logistics centers that permit the processing of Donsoco Farms® goods at a grand scale. (An example is the Colón Free Trade Zone in Panamá).
- International business courts that resolve disputes between both national and Donsoco Ecosystems Group foreign business entities. (An example is the Isle of Man, United Kingdom).
- Special investment districts that permit the creation of centers for the service sector such as Donsoco Financial® funding and investment services. (An example is the Cayman Enterprise City, Cayman Islands).
- Districts for renewable energy that permit investments in Donsoco Energy® green renewable power and purified water projects. (An example is the solar parks in Arizona, United States).
- Special economic zones in which the laws that govern the economy will be different from the rest of the country for allowing a free market-based economy to grow thereby providing financial benefits for Donsoco Ecosystems Group growth potential. National laws might be suspended in favor of solutions based on a free market. (A good comparison is Shenzhen, China.)
- Zones subject to a special judicial system that function under a judicial tradition different from the usual will help Donsoco Ecosystems Group with any free market challenges. (An example are the courts in the financial districts of Dubai which are subject to Common Law).
- Special agriculture industrial zones that permit incentives for exporting Donsoco Farms® high-quality organic agricultural products (An example is the cultivation of asparagus in Peru).
- Special tourist zones that permit special conditions for creating Donsoco Ecosystems Centers® for tourism in undeveloped parts of Honduras.
Mr. Hurtado elaborated with optimism that “the opportunities provided from his prevailing negotiations with the Honduran Secretary of State for Economic Development, Mr. Arnoldo Castillo, regarding the establishment of the DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Development Platform for propelling ecosystems project investments in Honduras by means of Donsoco Holdings approved CEDEs jurisdictions, are a result of persisting teamwork efforts, commendable leadership, and the effective governmental relationship Donsoco Holdings has developed through Donsoco Energy (NI) S.A. Branch Office in Honduras with the Honduran Government for realizing the planned ecosystems projects.”
Obviously, the ZEDE concept is an innovative economic development instrument of the Government of Honduras incorporated in DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Development Platform, with the right economic objectives and incentives for supporting Donsoco Holdings with the established ZEDE concessionary rights approval for fueling the momentum of impact investing in energy, water, and food nexus projects having reciprocal economic expansion benefits that help the people and ecosystems of Honduras, Mr. Hurtado added. He also said that “ZEDE is designed to provide a high level of autonomy with its own political system at a judicial, economic, and administrative level based on free market capitalism for creating sustainable jobs and economic growth in Honduras.” This will substantially benefit the enduring developments of the Holdings Ecosystems projects in its approved ZEDE region and framework undertakings of the DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Development Platform, Mr. Hurtado emphasized.
Concisely, Mr. Hurtado concluded by stating that “DONSOCO HONDURAS Economic Development Platform is working in becoming fully operational in the ZEDE zones that are pending application approval for Donsoco Holdings by the end of August 2018, while at the same token the platform team members are conveying to the ZEDE zones the Holdings water-energy-food nexus projects development criterion together with their 25-years long-term power purchase and water purchase agreements details required for funding, manufacturing, installing ecofriendly plants equipment, training Honduran personnel and so forth, to improve economic and social responsibility in the Holdings ZEDE rural areas and strengthen the natural resource management rights for said rural communities who depend on their ecosystems.”
